About Me

In the garden at home
I live down a dead end gravel road way out in the boonies of Tennessee. We use chicken wire for our
internet connections here. It's ten miles to a small town, seventeen miles to a town with a stoplight.
If you want to go to a town with more than one stop light you have to go 22 miles. I prefer the town
with no stop lights. Heavy traffic there is when you have 4 cars at once at the four-way stop sign.
I've been making my art for a long time. Up until now I've never tried to sell any of it. I just like to make it. It's
hanging on the walls in my house, my brother's house and my nephew's house. We're running out of room!
One day not long ago my nephew said that I need to start selling some of it. I told him I thought that was
a good idea. He told me to sell any of it except what's hanging on his walls.
So, here we are on the world wide web. I'm here to show and sell my art.
Some pieces are
one of a kind, others are numbered editions. All are original. If you're interested in purchasing a piece of my art,
or if you have any questions about it, feel free to call or write. My contact info is below.
I'm blessed to live in an area with an abundance and large variety of hardwoods to use in my art. Whenever possible
I really like to use old lumber that has been salvaged from old buildings. There is color, light and character in that lumber
that only comes with age. My studio/shop is part of
a 100 year old barn here on my place in Tennessee. It's a nice place to
work and to think.
I reckon I'm what they call an outsider artist. I certainly like to be outside. All I know is that I like making my art.
If any of you enjoy seeing it, I'm glad. If you want to buy a piece of it, that's great. I'll keep on making it as long as
God lets me. My wife gave me a card the other day that has a nice Bible verse in it. It's Proverbs 16:3 and it says:
Commit your works to the Lord and your thoughts will be established.
I understand that. It makes sense to me. Everytime I finish a piece I'm amazed and humbled. I don't even know
where it comes from. I'm just thankful that it comes through me.
Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

In July 2005 I went to the Philippines. In Iligan City I married a fine Lady. It was
the most special time of my entire life. I thank God.

Recently I've enjoyed playing around with
