Stephen Edwards
My name is Stephen Edwards. I'm a self taught artist. Perhaps I'm an Outsider Artist. I'm not sure exactly what that means.
Apparently, neither do a lot of people who are supposed to be knowledgable about that sort of thing. One expert says
that you have to be insane or retarded to be an Outsider Artist. Another says that the main requirements for an artist
to be in that category are that you have no formal art training and that you live and create your art "outside" the box, so to speak;
not part of the art "establishment. I'm not insane nor am I retarded. I have no art training except what I've learned on my own as I
have created my pieces. My skills and my style have evolved together. If you'd like to know more about me as a person

Call me what you will. You may think of my work and my style as being in whatever catergory you're comfortable with.
That doesn't matter to me. What matters is the art. To me, it's really very simple. An idea forms from God only knows where.
In my mind's eye I "see" what I must make, and I make it. If I'm able to communicate to another person, through my work, an idea,
a feeling, a sense of wonder, humor or anything else, for which there are no words, art has happened between me and that person.
Soon, I'll have pictures of some other pieces that I've already made on the site.
Right now I'm working on several new pieces. As soon as I get them finished I'll put them on here, too. Click on the
