species of wood used, prices in this series currently range from $1200-$1500 each. Prices include free shipping, handling

Self Portrait Series: Hand Built 3D Wall Art
My art is frequently refered to as artistic woodworking. I'm a self taught artist woodworker.
I create fine art wood art. My wall art is suitable for homes, businesses and corporate environments.
Perhaps I'm an Outsider Artist. I'm not sure exactly what that means.
Apparently, neither do a lot of people who
are supposed to be knowledgable about Outsider Art. Art "experts" have differing opinions about what it means to
be an outsider artist. This much I do know: I create my art "outside the box", so to speak.
I have no art formal training except what I've learned on my own as I
have created my pieces of wall art over a period of 30 years.
My skills and my style have evolved together. I have, of course, learned by viewing the work of other artists. Even though wood is
the medium in which I work, I have learned art techniques by independent study of many styles of art: painting, sculpture and multi-media
art. I have simply applied some of the techniques of other types of art to my artistic woodworking. The result is a unique style
of 3-D wall art. My work is not intarsia nor is it sculpture, per se. It's just art.
Call me what you will. You may think of my work and my style as being in whatever catergory you're comfortable with.
That doesn't matter to me. What matters is the art. To me, it's really very simple. An idea forms from God only knows where.
In my mind's eye I "see" what I wish to make, and I make it. If I'm able to communicate to another person, through my work, an idea,
a feeling, a sense of wonder, humor or anything else, for which there are no words, art has happened between me and that person.

During these difficult economic times many people are turning to art for investment opportunity as well as for
the pleasure of simply enjoying the art. Though I've been making art for many years I've only recently begun
to offer it for sale. It's quite possible that in years to come my art will increase in value. Afterall, my art is not
mass produced. My artwork is a one man operation building one piece of fine art at a time, with unlimited
patience for details and quality.
